Astronomy enthusiasts and curious minds alike will have the opportunity to gaze at the stars and explore the wonders of our solar system at a special stargazing event in Bexley.
The event is hosted by the Crayford Manor House Astronomical Society Dartford at Hall Place and Gardens located at Bourne Rd, Dartford, Bexley DA5 1PQ.
The event on November 13 is set to begin at 7pm (with doors opening at 6.45pm), promises an evening filled with celestial discoveries, educational talks, and interactive science experiments.
Attendees are encouraged to wrap up warm for this exciting outdoor event, where they'll have the chance to use equipment to observe the night sky, planets, moon, and stars.
Whether you're a seasoned stargazer or a beginner, there will be plenty of opportunities to learn more about the cosmos in a fun and engaging way.
The event will include mini-talks designed to enhance your understanding of the solar system, along with a science experiment that is sure to amaze.
The outdoor activities are weather-dependent, but the event will proceed regardless of the weather, rain or moonshine.
Afterward, guests can enjoy tea and cake, making for a cosy conclusion to an evening under the stars.
Advance booking is required for this event, with tickets priced at £17 for adults and £14 for those under 16.
The event is suitable for adults and families with children over the age of 10. However, children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The stargazing event will be held at the Visitor Centre, with access through the large green gates to the house from the car park, located to the right of the Miller & Carter restaurant.
After reaching the house, attendees should turn left and go down the slope to reach the event location.
To ensure everyone’s comfort, guests are advised to bring a coat, umbrella, and suitable footwear, as some parts of the event will take place outside on hard-standing and grassy areas.
