This weekend engineering works will cause disruption to two Thameslink services running through south London.
Over the weekend planned engineering work taking place in the London Victoria and Herne Hill area will affect some Thameslink trains.
Here’s what you need to know:
Reduced Thameslink trains to and from Sutton
From Saturday (September 7) to Sunday (September 8) Thameslink will be running a reduced service to and from Sutton.
This is a result of engineering work in Herne Hill which will close some lines over the weekend.
South London stations affected:
- Tulse Hill
- Streatham
- Mitcham Eastfields
- Mitcham Junction
- Hackbridge
- Carshalton
- Tooting
- Haydons Road
- Wimbledon
- Wimbledon Chase
- South Merton
- Morden South
- St. Helier
- Sutton Common
- West Sutton
- Sutton
What this will affect
Saturday
On Saturday there will be no Thameslink trains running between Streatham and Sutton via Wimbledon, and Thameslink trains between St. Albans City and Sutton via Mitcham Junction will run to an amended timetable.
Sunday
On Sunday no Thameslink trains will run between Tulse Hill and Sutton via Wimbledon or Mitcham Junction.
A revised Thameslink service will run between Luton and Sutton, diverting non-stop via an alternative route between Tulse Hill and Sutton.
A revised service will also run between St. Albans and Herne Hill on Sunday.
Where to use tickets
Customers are being advised to use their tickets on London Buses, London Trams and London Underground services via the Northern Line to complete their journeys over the weekend.
No morning Thameslink service to and from London Victoria
On Sunday (September 8) there will be no morning Thameslink trains to and from London Victoria due to planned works taking place.
This will affect travel before 9:30am with Thameslink trains diverted to run between London Blackfriars and Sevenoaks instead.

Where to use tickets
Thameslink customers are being advised to use tickets on London Underground Circle and District line services between London Blackfriars and Victoria to complete journeys between these stations.
