The following cases were heard at Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts on Tuesday, September 3, 2024:           

MICHAEL BANTON, 31, of Eddystone Road in Crofton Park, admitted racially aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress towards a man on November 7 last year. Banton was given a one-year community order and was ordered to pay £100 compensation. 

DAVID WOODLEY, 37, of Lee Church Street in Lewisham, admitted breaching a criminal behaviour order (CBO) and handling stolen goods in Eltham on Monday (September 2). The CBO stated he must be able to produce proof of purchase when challenged on suspicion of theft but Woodley was in possession of stolen bottles of MOET champagne. Woodley was given an eight-week prison sentence. 

VOLKAN CELIK, 40, of Adamsrill Road in Sydenham, admitted burgling The Brockley Barge Wetherspoons on July 28 last year, stealing bottles of alcohol. Celik was ordered to pay £158 compensation and was given a two-month sentence suspended for one year. 

KIRSTEN OLD, 50, of Dumbreck Road in Eltham, admitted threatening to share an intimate photograph or film of a person. Old was given a two-year conditional discharge, told to pay £500 compensation and a restraining order was made.
