A thief stole £13,000 of goods from BP and Boots in a three-month period.

Martin Keane-Jackson, 40, of Frobisher Road in Erith, admitted stealing from BP filling station on Trafalgar Road, Greenwich at least 50 times between April 21 and July 10.

In total he stole over £7,000 worth of goods from the store.

He also pleaded guilty to stealing from Boots on the same road on at least 13 occasions between May 14 and July 11 – taking more than £6,500 worth of goods.

At the time of this offending Keane-Jackson was already the subject of a restraining order which banned him from the BP following previous thefts.

Keane-Jackson is a repeat offender who was jailed for four weeks for stealing from the same BP last July.

His offending dates back all the way to 2008 when he was jailed for 30 months for smashing his way into a sleeping couple's house with a hammer.

After a plea hearing at Woolwich Crown Court on Monday (August 2) Keane-Jackson was told he will be sentenced later this month.

“It is inevitable that you will receive a custodial sentence for this offending, the only question will be the length of it,” Judge Andrew Lees told Keane-Jackson.
