An estate agent has revealed the most desirable streets to live on in Blackheath from people who are looking to purchase a home.
Blackheath village is known for its picturesque streets, hub of restaurants and bars as well as cute, independent shops.
The area as a whole is also known for the heath it is named after, which is a popular spot for runs and picnics in south east London.
The heath covers hundreds of acres, making it a great spot for walking as we see some lighter nights this summer.
Blackheath begins at the southern side of Greenwich Park and then stretches into Lewisham.
Joe Bickerton of Hamptons Estate Agents has said that it is “tricky” to say which streets are most popular, as the most desirable streets look different for various people’s budgets.
However, he said that on the whole one of the most desirable areas for people to live is the Cator Estate which includes Blackheath Park, Parkgate, Pond Road and Morden Road.
Another option that proves popular for house hunters according to Joe are roads facing the heath, such as Eliot Place, St Germans Place, Orchard Drive or Aberdeen Terrace.
But for families in search of more affordable streets or areas to live, Joe has found that Westcombe Park is the place south east Londoners want to be.
This involves Beaconsfield Road, Mycenae Road, Foyle Road and others in the area.
