A man in his 30s is still fighting for his life after a fight in a possible road rage incident in Bexleyheath.
The incident happened in Erith Road near Mayplace Road at around 5.25am on August 20.
Police and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man injured.
He was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was assessed as critical.
It is believed he sustained his injuries following an altercation with the occupant of another vehicle.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police confirmed today (August 27) the victim remains in a critical condition.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
He was taken to a south London police station where he was bailed pending further enquiries.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Officers investigating a possible road rage incident have in Bexley have made an arrest.
“Police were called at approximately 5.25am on Tuesday, 20 August after a man was found suffering injuries in Erith Road, Bexleyheath.
“London Ambulance Service attended and the man, believed aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment; he remains there in a critical condition.
“At this early stage it is believed the man sustained his injuries following an altercation with the occupant of another vehicle at the scene.
“A 24-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday, 20 August on suspicion of grievous bodily harm [GBH].
“He was taken to a south London police station where he was bailed pending further enquiries.
