Dartford drivers should be aware of 16 road closures on the National Highways network which could cause delays in the upcoming weeks.
According to the latest updates from National Highways, three ongoing closures will continue and more will come into place.
Four of these closures are expected to cause delays of 10 minutes to half an hour.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so smaller road closures are not included in its schedule.
Here is the full list of major closures:
• A2, from 12.05am June 17 to 12.05am August 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A2 eastbound and westbound, Off network, temporary speed limit reduction from 50mph to 40mph. 24/7 for this period.
• A2, from 8pm July 22 to 6am August 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A2 both directions Bean to Tollgate, slip road and diversion for bridge works.
• A2, from 10pm August 19 to 5am November 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A2 westbound, Old Bexley Lane, 24 Hour 40mph speed limit for VRS works.
And a further 13 closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A282, from 10pm August 27 to 5.30am August 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A282 northbound, West Tunnel closure, carriageway and slip road closure for tunnel works, diversion via National Highways roads.
• A2, from 8pm August 29 to 6am August 30, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A2 eastbound, Pepperhill, slip road closure for maintenance works.
• A282, from 10pm August 29 to 5am August 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 Anticlockwise, junction 2, Lane and slip road closure for technology works, diversion via National Highways network.
• A282, from 10pm August 30 to 5.30am September 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A282 northbound, Dartford Crossing East Tunnel, Tunnel closure for maintenance works, diversion via National Highways network.
• A282, from 10pm August 31 to 5am September 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A282 northbound, Dartford Crossing West Tunnel, Tunnel closure for maintenance works, diversion via National Highways network.
• A282, from 10pm September 1 to 5am September 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A282 northbound, Dartford Crossing East Tunnel, Tunnel closure for maintenance works, diversion via National Highways network.
• A2, from 10.30pm September 1 to 5am September 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A2 westbound, Old Bexley Lane, Lane, slip road, carriageway closure for VRS works, diversion via National Highways and local authority network.
• A282, from 10pm September 2 to 5.30am October 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A282 northbound, Dartford Crossing West Tunnel, Tunnel closure for maintenance works, diversion via National Highways network.
• A2, from 10pm September 2 to 5.30am September 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A2 eastbound, Old Bexley Lane to Darenth Interchange, Lane closure for drainage works.
• A2, from 8pm September 6 to 6am September 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A2 westbound, Ebbsfleet to Bean, hard shoulder and lane closure for construction works.
• A282, from 10pm September 7 to 5am September 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A282 northbound, Dartford Crossing West Tunnel, Tunnel closure for maintenance works, diversion via National Highways network.
• A282, from 10pm September 8 to 5am September 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A282 northbound, Dartford Crossing East Tunnel, Tunnel closure for maintenance works, diversion via National Highways network.
• A2, from 10pm September 9 to 6am September 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 Anticlockwise, junction 2, Lane, link road, slip road, and carriageway closures for resurfacing works, diversions via National Highways and local authority network.
