A brand new Cluedo play is set to arrive in Bromley this autumn with a star cast and brand new set.
Following the success of the first Cluedo play that hit the West End in 2022, Cluedo 2 with the story of another murder mystery is due to arrive at Bromley’s Churchill Theatre from September 10, running until September 14, as part of its UK-wide tour.
The play is set during the swinging sixties, with characters Colonel Mustard played by Casualty star Jason Durr and Miss Scarlet played by Coronation Street star Ellie Leach.
Meant for all ages, this family-fun show will leave audience members guessing as the characters go from room to room in an attempt to work out who really did it.
The script is written by BAFTA award-winning writers Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, who famously wrote popular shows like Birds of a Feather and Goodnight Sweetheart, and is directed by Mark Bell, director of popular West End shows The Play That Goes Wrong and A Comedy About a Bank Robbery.
The cast is completed by Jack Bennett as Wadsworth, Hannah Boyce as Mrs Peacock, Dawn Buckland as Mrs White, Liam Horrigan as Mr Black, Edward Howells as Professor Plum, Tiwai Muza as PC Silver and Gabriel Paul as Reverend Green.
Speaking on the show, Ellie Leach said: “I’ve really enjoyed bringing Miss Scarlett to life on stage. It’s so much fun to perform this iconic character and to see audiences of all ages having such a good time at every show, so I’m really thrilled to be extending the tour.”
This year the popular murder mystery board game made by Hasbro will celebrate its 75th anniversary, marking over seven decades of people playing the game.
Jason Durr said: “I’m delighted to be continuing as Colonel Mustard in Cluedo 2. The audience reaction during our first few weeks of performances has been fantastic and I can’t wait to bring this hilarious whodunnit to many more audiences around the UK.”
Tickets are bookable online starting from £22.
