A man in his 30s is fighting for his life after a fight with a person who was in another vehicle to him in Bexleyheath.
The incident happened in Erith Road near Mayplace Road at around 5.25am today (August 20).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene and found a man injured.
He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as critical.
It is believed the man sustained his injuries after an altercation with the occupant of another vehicle.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 05:25hrs on Tuesday, 20 August after a man was found suffering injuries in Erith Road, Bexleyheath.
“London Ambulance Service attended and the man, believed aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment; he remains there in a critical condition.
“At this early stage it is believed the man sustained his injuries following an altercation with the occupant of another vehicle at the scene.
“There has been no arrest and enquiries into the circumstances continue.
“Road closures remain in place at the location.
“Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD1060/20Aug.
“You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
