A major disruption has been declared at a busy train station in London due to an ongoing police incident.
National Rail confirmed on X (formally known as Twitter) that all services were disrupted at London Waterloo due to an incident between Raynes Park and Surbiton at around 3pm today (August 19).
The incident is expected to cause major disruption to trains to and from Waterloo until the end of the day.
In an update at 9.30pm, Network Rail said that all lines have reopened however trains running between Wimbledon and Surbiton may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes.
Commuters have been advised to check before they travel and to find alternative routes where possible.
