The Dartford Crossing and surrounding areas will face a series of overnight closures for maintenance and repairs this weekend (August 16 to August 19).

These include closures of the West and East Tunnels, as well as the closure of the fast link to the A2 carriageway tonight (Friday), with diversions in place via National Highways roads.

The Dartford Crossing, previously known as the Dartford Tunnel until 1991, is a major road crossing over the River Thames in England.

It connects Dartford in Kent (south) to Thurrock in Essex (north) via the A282 road.
