Passengers have been evacuated from King’s Cross station after a fire alert.

Transport for London (TfL) said on X at around 4pm this afternoon (August 15) that King’s Cross St Pancras was closed due to a fire alert.

Video footage from the scene showed a fire engine parked outside St Pancras station. Firefighters could also be seen entering the Tube station.

London Fire Brigade has confirmed that it was called to reports that the fire alarm had been activated at the station this afternoon.

Three fire engines attended the scene and firefighters quickly established that there was no fire.
