A popular nightclub in Bexleyheath has applied to extend its operating hours and alcohol sale, alongside other regulated entertainment.

Martin Smith, owner of nightclub Arcadia, on 247 Broadway, applied to Bexley Council for a variation of the issued premise license.

The proposed hours include an extension on Thursdays till 1.30am, and till 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.

The extended hours are inclusive of regulated entertainment such as live and recorded music, and performances of dance.

This application was revealed on the Public Notice Portal.

Retailing of alcohol is also expected to continue late, up to 1.30am on Thursdays and until 3am on weekends.

Additionally, late-night refreshments will be available up to 2am on Thursdays, and until 3.30am on weekends.

This public notice was first displayed on July 31.

Anyone termed as "Other Persons" or "Responsible Authority" interested in making representations can do so in writing no later than August 28.

The Arcadia premises have been open for inspection weekdays from 9am to 5pm at the address mentioned above.

Lastly, it is of importance to note that making a false statement knowingly or recklessly in connection with the application is considered an offence.

If convicted, such an offence carries an unlimited fine.
