A Lewisham security officer has bagged himself a new car worth £28,000 in an online competition.
Michal Rainda has won an Abarth 500e in BOTB’s Instant Wins Competition - after having a "weird feeling" about winning.
After receiving an email notification to say he was a winner, Michal received a video call from BOTB presenter Christian Williams, who confirmed his prize and wanted to find out how he reacted to his win.
Michal said: “I had a gut feeling that something good was going to happen that day, but it was still unexpected, and I lay in bed for about 10 minutes looking at the email to make sure it was real.
“My partner didn’t believe me until she saw the video of me speaking to Christian.
“I watched videos of the other winners and had a weird feeling that one day I would be having a chat with Christian.
“It’s finally my turn to win, and it’s an amazing feeling.”
Despite the Abarth 500e being renowned for its high performance and being fun to drive, the 28-year-old said he was considering taking the cash alternative.
He added: “I’m 6ft 4, so I'm not sure this car is going to suit me.
“I would use the cash to put towards purchasing and refurbishing our flat.”
Michal celebrated his win with a glass of wine with his partner.
Christian said: “A huge congratulations to Michal for winning this stunning prize.
“A lot of our winners have good feelings about entering, but still can’t quite believe it when they find out they have actually won.
“If Michal chooses the cash alternative, it sounds like he and his partner have got a good idea of what they want to spend it on.”
Leading car competitions company BOTB hands over the keys to a stunning dream car each week as well as a lifestyle prize.
It also offers people the chance to win a holiday, cash, tech, cars and more in its Instant Wins Competition.
