A signaling failure at a busy train station in London has caused disruption which could last two hours.

All services between Charing Cross and London Bridge have been disrupted since around 5pm today (August 14).

National Rail confirmed on X (formally known as Twitter) that platforms 4, 5 and 6 are out of use at Charing Cross due to the fault.

It is currently thought that the issue will cause disruption to train services until 7pm.

Some services running between these stations may also be cancelled or delayed by up to 15 to 20 minutes.

Commuters have been advised by National Rail to check before they travel as fewer trains are able to run to and from Charing Cross.

Tickets can be used on the London Underground between Charing Cross, Embankment, Waterloo East, London Victoria, Southwark, London Bridge and Cannon Street at no extra cost.
