Some Southeastern trains will be cancelled, diverted or replaced by buses this Summer Bank Holiday weekend due to planned engineering work.

The work will affect trains from Saturday, August 24 through to Monday, August 26.

We have compiled all of the details on these works so that you can plan your journey this weekend.

Amended 12.15am London Charing Cross to Tunbridge Wells service (Sunday, August 25)

The 12.15am London Charing Cross to Tunbridge Wells service will be diverted, running an alternate route via Redhill.

Additionally, a 12.18am London Charing Cross to Sevenoaks service will run, calling at Waterloo East, London Bridge, Orpington and Dunton Green.

A replacement bus service will run between Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells.

Amended services in the Denmark Hill area (Saturday, August 24 - Monday, August 26)

Engineering work is taking place in the Denmark Hill area, closing various lines.

Southeastern:

Saturday and Monday:

Bexleyheath Line: Trains between London Victoria and Gravesend via Bexleyheath will not run.

Additional trains will run between London Cannon Street and Gravesend via Bexleyheath.

Sole Street line: Trains between London Victoria and Gillingham via Denmark Hill will run non-stop between London Victoria and Bromley South.

Sunday:

Bexleyheath Line: Trains between London Victoria and Dartford via Bexleyheath will not run.

Additional trains will run between London Cannon Street and Dartford via Bexleyheath.

Sole Street line: Trains between London Victoria and Dover Priory via Denmark Hill will run non-stop between London Victoria and Bromley South.

Ticket Acceptance:

Passengers can use the following alternative services at no extra cost:

  • Thameslink replacement buses between Herne Hill and Bromley South via Denmark Hill / Catford.
  • London Underground between Victoria, Charing Cross, Embankment, Cannon Street, London Bridge, Southwark and Waterloo
  • London Buses routes P12, 78 and 484 between Denmark Hill and Lewisham

Thameslink:

Trains between London Blackfriars and Sevenoaks will be diverted to run via Herne Hill / Beckenham Junction, calling additionally at these stations.

These trains will not call at stations between Denmark Hill and Ravensbourne.

Replacement buses will run between Herne Hill and Bromley South.

Ticket Acceptance:

Passengers can use their tickets with London Buses on the following routes:

  • P12 for Nunhead.
  • 354 for Ravensbourne.

Buses replace trains between Tonbridge and Sevenoaks (Sunday, August 25)

Engineering work is taking place between Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, closing some lines.

Until approximately 9am, a line closure between Tonbridge and Sevenoaks will have an affect on the following services:

Hastings Line

Trains between Hastings / Tonbridge and London Charing Cross will run an amended timetable and run between Tonbridge and London Bridge via an alternative route.

Paddock Wood Line

The 6.35am Ashford to London Charing Cross service will run an amended timetable and run between Tonbridge and London Bridge via an alternative route.

The 7.30am Ashford to London Charing Cross service will run an amended timetable and run between Tonbridge and London Bridge via an alternative route.

An additional train service will run between Ashford and Tonbridge.

In addition, no fast trains will run between Sevenoaks, Orpington and London Charing Cross until 9.30am. Services stopping via Grove Park will run as normal.

Replacement bus services will run between Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, calling at Hildenborough.
