The following cases were heard at Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts on Monday, August 12, 2024:
DARREN WELLS, 42, of Dawson Avenue in Orpington, admitted stealing alcohol worth £215 from Sainsbury’s in Orpington on February 22. Wells was jailed for 12 weeks.
DANIEL BATTEM, 46, of Pembroke Road in Erith, admitted stealing meats worth £138 from Co-op in Plumstead. Battem was ordered to pay £138 compensation.
LINDSEY TYMOL ASHLEY, 55, of Bell Street in Woolwich, admitted causing £1243 worth of criminal damage to a Nissan Qashqai and failing to stop at the scene of a road accident in Woolwich on January 10. Ashley was ordered to pay £1247 compensation and a £307 fine.
COLIN STOKES, 59, of Hicks Street in Lewisham, admitted assaulting two police officers in July 7. Stokes was given an 18-month community order including alcohol treatment.
SHARNA CARTER, 34, of Pomeroy Street in New Cross, admitted theft of three bank cards, two bank documents, an Ecuadorian ID card and two disabled badges. Carter’s detention was deemed served by reason of time spent in custody.
