No arrests have been made following the stabbing of a teenager in Hither Green and an "urgent" search to find a suspect is underway.

Officers were called to Manor Park at 12.46pm yesterday (Sunday), following reports that a man had been stabbed.

Emergency services attended and found a man aged in his late teens with stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains.

His condition has since been assessed as non-life threatening.

Urgent enquiries are ongoing to find the suspect and investigations continue.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.46pm on 11 August to reports of a stabbing incident on Staplehurst Road in SE13.”

“We sent ambulance crews and an incident response officer to the scene.

We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. “ “Our crews treated a patient at the scene before taking him to a major trauma centre.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called to Manor Park, Hither Green at about 12.47hrs on Sunday, 11 August following reports that a man had been stabbed.

"Officers LAS and HEMS attended.

"A man aged in his late teens was found at the location with stab wounds.

“He was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains.

“His condition has been assessed as non-life-threatening.

"Urgent enquiries are ongoing to trace the suspects.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
