A dog mum-of-two from Sidcup has left her career as an events manager to pursue her true passion: pets.
Charlotte Arnold has launched Petpals in Sidcup, the UK’s longest-established pet-care specialist, after having grown up surrounded by animals.
Petpals in Sidcup offers a premium pet care service tailored to your needs, including dog walking (solo or group), dog sitting, small pet care, puppy visits, older dog visits, a pet taxi, and dog boarding.
Charlotte, who is fully trained, insured, uniformed and DBS checked, is ready to bring top-notch care to areas south east London, including Avery Hill, Bexley, Bexleyheath, Blackfen, Sidcup, Coldblow, Foots Cray and much more.
Charlotte said: “Animals, big and small, have always been a huge part of my life.
“I’ve had labradors since forever and, even though they were working dogs, they were pampered like royalty at home.
“They were truly family, and that’s where my deep love for animals began.
“We also had ferrets, a rabbit, hamsters and fish - in our house, animals outnumbered the humans.”
When Charlotte struggled to find a pet sitter for her two labradors, Lola and Tia, she decided to take matters into her own hands and begin her pet care business venture.
She decided to “take the leap” and start Petpals along with her partner, who are both committed to building a service that Sidcup residents can trust.
She added: “It takes a lot for me to trust someone to look after Lola and Tia.
“I need to know the pet carer’s experience, ensure they’re fully insured, licensed and knowledgeable.
“It frustrates me how many people offer pet care without proper credentials, and I want to educate people on the right and wrong ways to handle animals and highlight the importance of premium pet care.
“I don’t do things half-heartedly.
“Everyone at Petpals receives thorough training and operates above board, which is why Petpals stands out.”
Now that Petpals in Sidcup is officially open, Charlotte will be spending her day surrounded by animals and getting to know her clients and their furry friends.
“Since launching the business, I’ve learned so much already, and I’m eager to see how we can grow in our community.
“I never imagined animals could become an even bigger part of my life, but here we are.
“It truly is the dream job – what could be better than working with animals all day?”
