A man has admitted killing his wife whose body was found in the attic of their Forest Hill home.
The body of Tia Simmonds, 32, was found in their home on Parbury Road on January 3 this year.
Her husband, 39-year-old Shane Simmonds, is accused of murdering her between January 1 and January 2.
On Tuesday (August 6) Simmonds appeared at the Old Bailey by video link from prison.
When asked to enter a plea to murder Simmonds said: “Not guilty to murder but guilty to manslaughter.”
He then clarified that he admits manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility.
Simmonds also plead guilty to two counts of rape a separate female.
A murder trial date was set for October 14 this year.
