A busy tube station in London has been evacuated with a huge emergency service response outside the station.

Eight ambulances and police cars are currently on the scene at the Canary Wharf underground station, according to eye witnesses.

British Transport Police temporarily closed off the station, and TfL confirmed the Jubilee line was also closed due to a “customer incident”.

The station later reopened.

Dozens of people inside the station were seen running towards the exit, after reports of an officer shouting to "get out as quick as you can, move", according to a post on X.

We have contacted British Transport Police for further information on the incident.

The full TfL Access tweet says: “Canary Wharf “Part Closed - Jubilee line.

“Trains are not stopping on the westbound Jubilee line while we deal with a customer incident."
