A person has died after an incident at South Bermondsey station.
A casualty on the tracks was reported to police in Ilderton Road just before 6.10am today (August 6).
London Ambulance Service crews also attended and the person was pronounced dead shortly after.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
National Rail confirmed on X (formally known as Twitter) that lines between Peckham Rye and London Bridge were closed as the incident was dealt with.
The lines have since reopened however trains are still being cancelled and delayed by up to 30 minutes.
Disruption is still expected until 12pm.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to South Bermondsey railway station at 6.09am today (6 August) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.”
