London Ambulance Service has issued a statement after a 19-year-old man was taken to hospital after a stabbing in Bromley.

The incident happened on Bromley High Street just before 4.20pm on Saturday (August 3).

London Ambulance Service sent several emergency teams to the location, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and London’s Air Ambulance.

The first team arrived in six minutes.

They treated a man at the scene on Harmony Way and then took him to a major trauma centre in London.

His condition was assessed as not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.16pm on Saturday 3 August to reports of an incident in Church Road, Bromley.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance.

“The first of our crews arrived at the scene in six minutes.

“Our crews treated a man at the scene, before taking him to a London major trauma centre.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 16:18hrs on Saturday, 3 August to reports of a stabbing in High Street, Bromley.

“Officers responded with LAS and London's Air Ambulance.

“The victim, aged 19, was found near Harmony Way.

“He was treated before being taken to hospital, where his condition was later assessed as not life-threatening.

“There have been no arrests at this time.

“A crime scene is in place.”
