It has been confirmed that the bones found in Foots Cray Meadows are not human.
Police were called to the area at 2.14pm on Monday, July 29 after a member of the public reported that they had found bones in the river bank.
These bones were then sent for specialist examination and have been confirmed not to be human.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 14:14hrs on Monday, 29 July to Foots Cray Meadows, Sidcup, after a member of the public reported finding bones in a river bank area.
“The bones were sent for specialist examination and were confirmed not to be human.”
