FORMER pupils of a Catholic girls' grammar school are being urged to turn up and be reunited with old school pals at this year's school reunion.
St Joseph's Convent School, which was in Woolwich Road, Abbey Wood, closed in 1979.
It was amalgamated with St Mary's, the Catholic boys' grammar school in Chislehurst Road, Sidcup, and became St Mary and St Joseph's Catholic school.
This school has also now closed this summer, and the site has become St Luke's Catholic 6th Form College.
The former convent building became an annexe of Bexley College, and it is now locally listed, and has been converted into flats.
One famous old girl of the convent school, is singer and songwriter Kate Bush who grew up in Welling, and was a pupil from 1969 to 1976.
The reunion takes place on Saturday September 27 between 2.30pm and 5.30pm at St Stephen's Catholic Church, Deepdene Road, Welling.
