A man has been arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty after eight geese were killed in a suspected collision.
Kent Police was called at 5.36pm on Sunday (July 21) to reports that eight birds had been found deceased on Anchor Boulevard in Dartford.
A 19-year-old from Dartford arrested on Thursday (July 25) on suspicion of animal cruelty and driving without a licence or insurance.
He has since been released on bail until October.
Sergeant Ross Haybourne said: “This was a distressing incident which has caused considerable concern in the local community.
“We will always investigate reports where wildlife may have been harmed deliberately and I would urge anyone who has information that may assist our enquiries to contact us.”
The investigation is being led by Kent Police’s Rural Task Force.
