Some Southeastern trains will be cancelled, diverted or replaced by buses this week due to planned engineering work.

The work will affect trains from Monday, July 29 through to Friday, August 2.

We have compiled all of the details on these works so that you can plan your journey this week.

Monday only (July 29)

Engineering work which usually takes place every Monday night between Ashford International and Canterbury West will not take place, and trains will run normally between Ashford International and Ramsgate via Canterbury West.

Monday to Thursday (July 29 - August 1)

From 11.15pm until the end of service, accessible buses replace trains between Dartford and Gravesend.

The 11.50pm London St Pancras International to Faversham service will be replaced by accessible buses between Ebbsfleet International, Gillingham and Faversham calling at all stations except Higham, Newington and Teynham.

Also, engineering work is taking place in the Lewisham area, closing various lines though the station overnight from Monday evening until Friday morning.

From approximately 11.15pm, trains will not be able to stop at Lewisham. Trains via Bexleyheath will not run or will be diverted to run via Sidcup, and trains will be unable to run between Lewisham and Hayes.

On Monday and Tuesday, trains on the Hayes line will finish slightly earlier, with no trains leaving London Bridge after 10.15pm.

Accessible replacement buses will run on the following routes:

  • London Bridge and Dartford via Bexleyheath.
  • London Bridge and Hayes (Monday and Tuesday only).
  • London Bridge and Dartford via Sidcup (12.50am from London Bridge only).
  • London Bridge and Orpington (1.10am from London Bridge only).

Tuesday to Friday (July 30 - August 2)

From 12.15am until the end of service, trains via Maidstone East will be diverted after Otford to run to / from / via Sevenoaks.

Accessible replacement buses will run between:

  • Sevenoaks and Maidstone East calling at all stations except East Malling.
  • Maidstone East and Ashford International calling at all stations.
  • West Malling and East Malling minibus shuttle.

Monday to Friday (July 29 - August 2)

Engineering work is taking place between Otford and Ashford International, closing some lines on Monday to Friday mornings.

The 8.25am London Victoria to Ashford International via Maidstone East will be diverted between Otford and Ashford International, calling at Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Paddock Wood.

The 8.28am London Charing Cross to Maidstone East train will call at all stations between Otford and Maidstone East.

No service between Blackheath and Charlton (Saturday, June 1 - Sunday, August 11)

Engineering work is taking place between Blackheath and Charlton, closing the lines for 10 weeks.

Trains between London Cannon Street and Dartford via Blackheath and Charlton will instead run via Greenwich, calling additionally at Deptford, Greenwich, Maze Hill and Westcombe Park.

Passengers can use the following alternative routes at no extra cost:

  • London Bus routes 89, 54, 380, 202 & SL3.
  • Docklands Light Railway between Greenwich and Lewisham.
  • Thameslink services between London Bridge and Dartford via Woolwich Arsenal.
