A man has admitted perverting the course of justice after a Bexley woman was murdered by her partner.
Leila Young, 33, was found with stab injuries to her head and neck at her home on Penhill Road just after 4pm on January 16.
She was rushed to hospital but died from her injuries a week later on January 23.
Her partner, 33-year-old Tony Curant, pleaded guilty to her murder last month (June 21).
Now a second man - Richard Ray, 33, of St Georges Road in Swanley - has admitted perverting the course of justice in relation to his actions after Leila was stabbed.
Ray entered the guilty plea at Wood Green Crown Court on Monday (July 22).
Curant and Ray will both be sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court next week.
Curant faces a mandatory life sentence.
At the site of the tragic incident on Penhill Road, mourners left candles, floral arrangements, and handwritten notes.
One note expressed deep sorrow, stating, "So heart breaking. I am so sorry this has happened to you. Sleep tight and may you rest in peace."
Another note paid tribute to Leila, saying, "Leila, you will always be remembered for the loving, brilliant mum you are. We will never forget you.”
