Some Southeastern trains will be cancelled, diverted or replaced by buses this weekend due to planned engineering work.
The work will affect trains on both Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21.
We have compiled all of the details on these works so that you can plan your journey this weekend.
Buses replace trains between Sittingbourne and Sheerness-on-Sea (Saturday, July 20 - Saturday, July 27)
Major engineering work is taking place to the Kingsferry Bridge near Swale, closing the line between Sittingbourne and Sheerness-on-Sea.
Accessible buses will replace trains between:
Sittingbourne and Sheerness-on-Sea calling at Queenborough only
Sittingbourne and Kemsley minibus shuttle
Swale station will be closed and cannot be served by replacement buses because of the closure of Kingsferry Bridge.
Journey times will be significantly increased, and buses between Sittingbourne and Sheerness -on-Sea will take approximately 60 minutes.
Buses replace trains between Tonbridge / Paddock Wood and Strood (Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21)
Trains between Paddock Wood and Strood will not run all weekend.
Saturday:
Replacement buses will run between Paddock Wood and Maidstone West / Strood.
Sunday:
Replacement buses will run between Tonbridge and Maidstone West / Strood.
No service between Blackheath and Charlton (Saturday, June 1 - Sunday, August 11)
Engineering work is taking place between Blackheath and Charlton, closing the lines for 10 weeks.
Trains between London Cannon Street and Dartford via Blackheath and Charlton will instead run via Greenwich, calling additionally at Deptford, Greenwich, Maze Hill and Westcombe Park.

You can use the following alternative routes at no extra cost:
- London Bus routes 89, 54, 380, 202 & SL3.
- Docklands Light Railway between Greenwich and Lewisham.
- Thameslink services between London Bridge and Dartford via Woolwich Arsenal.
Buses replace trains between Rainham and Faversham (Sunday, July 21)
Engineering work is taking place between Gillingham and Faversham, closing some lines.
Sole Street Line: Trains between London Victoria and Ramsgate / Dover Priory via Chatham will only run between London Victoria and Rainham.
Highspeed via Gravesend: Trains between London St Pancras International and Ramsgate via Faversham will only run between London St Pancras International and Rainham.
Additional trains will run between:
- Faversham and Ramsgate.
- Faversham and Dover Priory.
Accessible replacement buses will run between:
- Rainham and Faversham calling at all stations except Teynham.
- Sittingbourne and Faversham via Teynham (minibus).
Buses replace trains between Lewisham and Orpington / Dartford via Sidcup (Sunday, July 21)
Engineering work is taking place between St Johns, Hither Green, and Dartford, closing some lines.
The following services are affected:
Trains between London Charing Cross and Ramsgate / Dover Priory via Tonbridge will be diverted to run to and from London Victoria.
Trains between London Charing Cross and Hastings will be retimed and diverted via an alternative route between London Bridge and Orpington.
Trains between London Charing Cross and Sevenoaks will not run.
Trains between London Victoria and Orpington will be extended to run to and from Sevenoaks.
Trains which usually run between London Charing Cross and Dartford via Sidcup will not run. Trains between London Charing Cross and Gravesend via Sidcup will be diverted to run via Bexleyheath.
Replacement buses will run between Lewisham and Orpington / Dartford via Sidcup.
You can use the following alternative services at no extra cost:
London Underground between Victoria, Charing Cross, Embankment, Waterloo, Southwark and London Bridge.
