A woman has been taken to hospital after a house fire in Welling.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to Tyndall Road at around 1pm today (Friday, July 19).
Crews from Plumstead, Bexley and Eltham attended the scene.
The first floor of the two-storey building was destroyed by the blaze.
The fire was under control by 2.11pm and its cause is under investigation.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a house fire on Tyndall Road in Welling.
“The first floor of the two-storey building was destroyed by fire.
“One adult woman was led to safety by firefighters before being taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
“The Brigade was called at 1303 and the fire was under control by 1411.
“Crews from Plumstead, Bexley and Eltham fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.14pm on Friday 19 July to reports of an incident in Tyndall Road, Welling.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) and an incident response officer.
“The first of our crews arrived in four minutes.
“Our crews treated one patient at the scene, before taking her to hospital.”
