A woman, child and baby have been taken to hospital after a house fire in Avery Hill.
Firefighters tackled a house fire on Holland Gardens at 11.10am today (June 19).
Half of the ground floor of the two-storey house was destroyed by fire.
One adult woman, one child, and one infant suffering smoke inhalation left the property before the Brigade arrived and were taken to the hospital by London Ambulance Service.
The fire was under control just before 12.30pm.
Crews from Sidcup, Lee Green, Bexley and Plumstead fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a house fire on Holland Gardens in Avery Hill.
“Half of the ground floor of the two-storey house was destroyed by fire.
“One adult woman, one child, and one infant suffering smoke inhalation left the property before the arrival of the Brigade and were taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service crews.
“The Brigade was called at 1110 and the fire was under control by 1229.
“Crews from Sidcup, Lee Green, Bexley and Plumstead fire stations attended the scene.
“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
