Fire crews were called after a cooling unit had begun to smoulder at a three-story building in Downham yesterday evening.
Fire crews from Lee Green, Lewisham and Eltham were called to the three-storey mixed-use building on Downham Way yesterday (July 17) at around 6:13pm.
Around 15 firefighters and three fire engines were called to the scene.
A cooling system in the basement of the building had begun to smoulder and fire crews worked to isolate the basement's power supply and secure the system.
There were no reports of any injuries.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Three fire engines and around 15 firefighters were called to reports of smoke issuing from a mixed-use building on Downham Way in Bromley.
“A cooling system in the basement of the three-storey building had begun to smoulder. Firefighters isolated basements power supply and worked make the cooling system safe. There are no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade was called at 1813 and the incident was over for firefighters by 1858. Crews from Lee Green, Lewisham and Eltham fire stations attended the scene.”
