A man has been taken to hospital with burn injuries after a house fire in Crayford.
Four fire engines and about 25 firefighters battled a blaze on Maiden Lane, Crayford yesterday, July 16.
Half of the first floor of the two-storey terraced house was badly damaged in the fire.
A man who suffered burns to his hand and smoke inhalation exited the building before the Brigade arrived and was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.
London Ambulance Service transported him before the firefighters' arrival.
The Brigade received the call at 9.32pm and controlled the fire by 10.58pm.
Crews from Bexley, Erith stations, and Kent Fire and Rescue Service were at the scene.
The fire's cause is currently under investigation.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigades: “Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters tackled a house fire on Maiden Lane in Crayford.
“Half of the first floor of the two-storey terraced house was damaged by fire.
“One man suffering burns to his hand and smoke inhalation left the building before the arrival of the Brigade and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.
“The Brigade was called at 2132 and the fire was under control by 2258.
“Crews from Bexley and Erith fire stations and from Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene.
”The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
