A Greenwich pub has closed so that it can undergo a huge transformation over the summer.

The Fox Under the Hill in Shooters Hill closed its doors on Sunday, July 14.

The pub has received a six-figure investment and will transition from a Hungry Horse to a Greene King pub.

It is set to reopen its doors to the public on August 24 when the “major renovations” are complete.

A spokesperson for The Fox Under the Hill said: “The Fox Under the Hill pub in Shooters Hill, London, is closing for a short period from Sunday, July 14, while it undertakes a six-figure investment and rebrand, transitioning from a Hungry Horse to a Greene King pub.

“The Fox Under the Hill will reopen its doors to the public in mid-September, following the completion of major renovations.”
