A Welling mum and her daughter felt “horror” when they found fingernails in their McDonald’s order.
On Friday, July 5, the mum went to the Welling branch of McDonald’s to treat her daughter to a happy meal.
However, when they opened the food at home, they found a fingernail on the cheeseburger and another inside of the happy meal box.
McDonald’s claims to have refunded the pair as food safety is “of the upmost importance” to the company.
The Welling team is investigating the incident.
A spokesperson for McDonald’s said: "Food safety is of the upmost importance to us.
“As soon as we were made aware of this incident, our Welling team conducted a full investigation.
“The customer has been in touch with our Customer Services Team, who have provided a full refund."
