Several businesses and workers based in south east London have made it on the deliberate tax defaulters list. 

The details, published by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), 'name and shame' people and businesses who have been given financial penalties for failing to comply with tax obligations or deliberately filing errors in tax returns. 

HMRC routinely releases the information of those who made at least one deliberate default on more than £25,000.   

The list is updated every three months, added to the list on Tuesday (July 9) were: 

Q Dumpling Bar Ltd, a takeaway restaurant formerly of Old Kent Road, was hit with a £28,407 penalty on £47,346 of tax defaulted between April 2019 and March 2021. 

Labourer Shaman Jessie Darani, of Stations Road in March but formerly of Kimpton Road in Camberwell, was given a £18,664 penalty on £28,066 of tax defaulted between April 2019 and April 2020. 

Other businesses and workers named on the list in the last year include: 

A locum GP from Dulwich was added to the list after £93,043.92 of tax or duty was unaccounted for between April 2016, and April 2018. Atim Angel Anam, formerly known as Atim Angel Itam, was hit with a £58,152.44 penalty by HMRC as a result. 

Zeta Shoes Ltd, formerly trading as Zeta Shoes, of Rye Lane in Peckham, was fined after £37,041.56 of tax or duty was unaccounted for between April 2020, through to April 2022. The footwear retailer was fined £37,041.56. 

Takeaway shop Rocket Pizza BR3 Ltd, of Beckenham Road, was given a £198,603 penalty over £198,603 of tax defaulted between February 2014 and July 2020. 

Restaurant Med Bar and Grill Ltd, formerly of Croydon Road in Beckenham, was hit with a £86,843 penalty over £86,843 of tax defaulted between April 2020 and April 2021.
