A major road leading onto the M25 near south London has closed after a huge oil spill.
A lorry has leaked 16,000 litres of diesel on the A24, leaving 10 miles of spillage.
This has affected the road from Beare Green to Leatherhead and onto the M25 junction nine.
Police have warned drivers that there will be “extensive traffic disruption” expected to last for days.
Epsom and Ewell Police tweeted: “Roads in Surrey have been closed following an oil spill.
“A lorry has leaked 16,000 litres of diesel for 10 miles along the A24 from Beare Green to Leatherhead and on to the M25 at junction nine.
“Drivers are being warned of ‘extensive traffic disruption’ over the next couple of days.”
