A Bromley pub is set to temporarily close due to safety concerns and “potential hazards”.
Seven Seas Bar and Lounge shared a statement on social media sharing the news.
Pub staff have said that the hazard in question is “a significant ceiling leak” which has made them feel it is unsafe to open.
They added that the safety and comfort of both staff and customers are the “top priority”.
There is water damage as a result of the leak and the pub wants to have this thoroughly assessed and fixed.
In the statement, the pub apologises for any inconvenience and assures people that they will share updates on the progress of the repairs.
The full statement reads: “Dear valued customers, we regret to inform you that due to a significant ceiling leak, we do not feel it is safe to open our establishment at this time.
“Ensuring the safety and comfort of our customers and staff is our top priority.
“The leak has caused water damage that needs to be thoroughly assessed and repaired to prevent any potential hazards.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
“We will keep you updated on the progress of the repairs and look forward to welcoming you back as soon as it is safe to do so.
“Thank you for your patience and support.”
