A Mottingham shoplifter raided a BP garage 30 times between March and April stealing over £6,000 worth of goods.
Christopher Fawcett, 41, of Erith Road in Bexleyheath, is a prolific thief who has targeted shops across south east London.
Only last month (June 4) he appeared in court after he stole chocolate and prosecco from M&S at a BP petrol station in Eltham.
Fawcett walked free from court with a conditional discharge on that occasion.
On Thursday (July 4) Fawcett appeared at Bexley Magistrates’ Court again and pleaded guilty to 30 charges of theft from a shop.
Between March and April this year he raided the same BP station in Mottingham 30 times stealing food, port, wine and car oil totaling over £6,000.
Magistrates remanded Fawcett in custody and sent the case to crown court for sentencing.
Fawcett was previously jailed for seven weeks in 2019 for stealing hundreds of pounds worth of goods from Bexley and Bromley shops.
