WITH a new academic year under way, students of Hayes Secondary School have something to smile about after achieving the school's best GCSE, AS and A-level results.
Eighty-three per cent of Hayes students receiving GCSE results achieved an impressive five or more A* to C grades, with 70 per cent of those students achieving top grades in English and maths.
Their success resulted in an over-subscribed sixth form and an increased sixth form student body at the beginning of September.
However, the successes did not end there.
August 13 revealed the school's best ever set of AS results, with 34 Year 12 students achieving two or more A grades, eight of whom attained four straight A grades.
A Level results were similarly a fantastic accomplishment for the school - more than 41 per cent of A Levels listed A to B grades, with this accompanied by an overall sixth form pass rate of 98.6 per cent.
Head of Hayes School sixth form Sarah Moss said: "We are all extremely proud of our KS4 and KS5 students and their individual achievements."
Overall, congratulations are in order for the school, staff and, most importantly, students, whose enthusiasm and efforts are vital in the success of the school.
