The following cases were heard at Bromley and Bexley Magistrates’ Courts on Wednesday, July 3, 2024:
LEWIS MARSHALL, 28, of Sandy Hill Road in Woolwich, admitted possessing nine indecent images of children in the A and C categories and possessing a prohibited image of a child in June. Marshall was given a 26-week sentence suspended for two years as magistrates noted a custodial sentence was needed because "child abuse flourishes if there is a culture of downloading such serious images”. He will be required to register with the police for seven years.
KIRSTI SIMPSON, 29, of Exeter Way in Deptford, admitted multiple counts of stealing from Boots and The Co-op in Deptford. A warrant was issued for Simpson’s arrest after she failed to answer to bail.
XANE HUGGINS, 22, of Elfrida Crescent in Bellingham, admitted assaulting and stalking a woman in June. Huggins was remanded in custody until he is sentenced.
