A south London lido is turning 87 this weekend - and holding a huge birthday bash to celebrate.
Brockwell Lido, a famous outdoor swimming site in Herne Hill, is welcoming everyone to celebrate its birthday on Saturday, July 6, with a day of fun on the water.
The event is free, but all donations on the day will go towards Norwood and Brixton Foodbank, which provides emergency food and support to people facing hardship.
Scarlett Hayward, general manager of Brockwell Lido, said: "It has been amazing to see how far the Lido has come with the renovations and improvements and we are looking forward to celebrating the summer with our local residents.
"It is always a pleasure to be able to work with local Brixton businesses and charities to bring these community events to life and we are excited to welcome all, Lido regulars and newbies alike, to this party."
Brixton business OrbWalk will bring the fun with Water Zorbing, something that is set to become a regular fixture throughout the summer.
Brockwell Lido will also get treated to a live swing band performance
For those eager to improve diving skills, Streamline Swimmers will host 'Dive in Five' sessions at 1.30pm and 3pm, providing expert tips and guidance.
There will even be puppy sessions in the afternoon and a Brockwell Bake Off for those with a sweet tooth.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own inflatables to take part in the inflatables pool party from 12pm until 1pm.
Ever since it opened in 1937, Brockwell Lido has been an iconic landmark for the south London community.
