Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses two weeks after a man was stabbed to death in Deptford.

Robert Robinson was found injured by emergency services in Carteret Way at around 10.30pm on June 6.

The 21-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.

Dalziell Wedderburn, 44, of Windlass Place in Deptford, and Kirk Harris, 18, of Upper Brockley Road in New Cross, have since been charged with Robert’s murder.

A third man, aged 50, was arrested at the scene and was bailed to a date in early September.

Detective Inspector Neil Tovey, who is leading the investigation, said: “This horrific attack was committed by a group of people who chose to arm themselves with weapons and attack a young man in a residential area.

“It is two weeks on from the attack and so far we have charged two men.

“However the investigation is still ongoing and we need to work with the local community to bring justice for Robert and his family.

“This is why I am once again turning to the public for answers. If you have any information, dash cam footage or CCTV images that you feel may assist then please come forward to police to help aid our investigation.

“I want to make it clear that we appreciate all information, no matter how insignificant you may think this is, and you can do so in confidence if you wish.”

A post-mortem examination on June 8, gave Robert’s cause of death as multiple incised wounds.
