A prolific shoplifter has been jailed again after he was caught stealing from the Co-op and Asda.
Ryan Brook, 34, of Cumbrian Avenue in Bexleyheath, committed the offences shortly after he was released from prison for stealing a shopping basket full of share bag sweets.
He was jailed for three months in February for stealing £82 worth of sweets from a Tesco Express.
But by May 4, Brook was back on the streets and offending again, this time stealing alcohol from Asda in Bexleyheath.
Then on the afternoon of June 1 Brook stole £70 worth of laundry detergent from the Co-op.
Brook appeared at Bexleyheath Magistrates’ Court on Monday (June 17) where he pleaded guilty to two offences of theft from a shop.
He was handed a six-week prison sentence.
