A 13-year-old boy has been arrested after another child was allegedly threatened during an attempted robbery near Beckenham War Memorial.
On June 10, a 14-year-old was approached by another boy at around 4.45pm on Croydon Road.
It was indicated that the boy had a knife.
The victim managed to run away and was not seriously injured.
A 13-year-old boy was later arrested by police on suspicion of attempted robbery and has since been released on bail, pending further enquiries.
The investigation is ongoing, and officers are assessing CCTV footage.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 16:45hrs on Monday, 10 June following an incident in Croydon Road, Beckenham.
“It was reported a 14-year-old boy was approached by another male close to Beckenham War Memorial who attempted to rob him and intimated he was in possession of a knife.
“The boy managed to run away – he was not seriously injured.
“A 13-year-old boy was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery; he has been bailed pending further enquiries.
“Enquiries into the circumstances, which include analysis of CCTV footage, continues.
“Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC and quote CAD5207/10Jun.
