A 17-year-old boy has died after a motorbike crash in Bromley.
An off-duty police officer came across a crash in Main Road, Biggin Hill just after 11.55pm yesterday (June 9).
London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene and found two teenage boys injured.
One of the boys was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after.
His family has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The second boy was taken to hospital for treatment where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.
He has been now arrested in connection with the investigation and taken to a south London police station.
Detectives believe that the motorbike may have been near a car around the time of the crash, but that car did not stop at the scene.
Police enquires are ongoing to locate that vehicle and its occupants and to establish whether it played any part in the crash.
