A woman who was stabbed to death in Woolwich told police she was being stalked by a man who was obsessed with her, a court heard.
Naomi Hunte, 41, was found dead in her flat on February 14, 2022, with the cause of death a single stab wound to her chest.
Carl Cooper is on trial accused of murdering Naomi as well as 48-year-old Fiona Holm, who went missing in June 2023 and has never been found.
Naomi made four reports to police about Cooper prior to her death, the court heard.
On Wednesday (June 5) during the second day of Cooper’s trial the jury were shown body worn video of three of those four police encounters.
The footage showed her telling officers: “I think he’s obsessed with me, he tells me he likes me, he loves me. I told him I just want to be friends and that doesn’t seem to get through.”

Naomi phoned police about Carl Cooper for the first time at around 2.30am on November 4, 2020, the court heard.
She told police: “He has been grabbing me and not letting me out of the flat.”
Nobody answered the door when officers went to the address at 4.25am but officers returned at 10.50pm on November 6.
In bodyworn footage Naomi was seen telling officers: “We did call police the other day but it was really drunken. I can’t remember what happened.”
She added: “I’m really sorry for wasting your time and everything.”
Officers checked the address and asked Naomi a number of questions but she said there was no abuse.
“I’m not drinking rum ever again,” she told officers.

A number of weeks later police attended Naomi’s flat again at 1.20am after she made a 999 call.
Body worn footage showed that she told officers Cooper had been at outside her flat harassing her and banging on her door.
“He said he’s going to wait out there until the morning and follow me around,” she said.
“I think he’s obsessed with me, he tells me he likes me, he loves me. I told him I just want to be friends and that doesn’t seem to get through.”
Naomi explained to officers that she had met Cooper at a bus stop on her way home from work around a year ago.
They had had sex several times but she had been ignoring Cooper’s calls recently, she said.
“It’s scared me. I really scared you know, I truthfully am scared,” she said.
Naomi told officers she had lied when they last offended as she didn’t think Cooper would come back.
She gave officers his number and address but told officers she wouldn’t want to go to court.
June 29, 2021
At around 11.15pm on June 29, 2021, officers attended Naomi’s flat for the third time.
She immediately told officers: “This is the third time I’ve called police about this person.”
Naomi said Cooper had kicked her door really hard and was shouting outside her flat.
“He has been stalking me. I’m really scared now. He’s approached me, ran after me. Then he ran away when I’ve knocked on a neighbours’ house. It’s getting to the last stage now,” she said.
Naomi said: “I want something done for harassment. This is the third time. I’m scared now.”
The trial continues.
