A person has been taken to a place of safety after an incident at a train station in London.

Concerns for the welfare of a trespasser at London Victoria station were raised at around 10.25am today (June 3).

National Rail announced on X (formally known as Twitter) that all train services stopped as the incident was dealt with.

Police were called to the scene and the person was brought to safety.

The railway service initially confirmed all services were disrupted until 11.30am, but it was extended until 1pm.

In an update at 12pm, Southeastern confirmed that the power of the tracks had been restored.

However, a major disruption to all services is still expected to continue until 3pm today.

All trains running to and from London Victoria may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes.

Commuters have been urged to check before they travel and to find alternative routes where possible.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to the line near Victoria railway station at around 10.25am today (3 June) following reports of concern for welfare for a trespasser on the tracks.

"Officers attended and a person was taken to a place of safety.”
