Three males have been taken to hospital after a triple stabbing during a fight in Woolwich.
The incident happened in Thomas Street at around 6.25pm today (May 31).
Officers were called to the scene and found three males injured.
They were all taken to hospital for treatment where their conditions are currently unknown.
Additional officers were deployed to the area and a total of 12 people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
As a result, a Section 60 has now been put in place in the SE18 area until 9.37am tomorrow (June 1).
This means police can stop and search anyone within the area without needing to have reasonable grounds.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at around 1825hrs on Friday, 31 May, to a fight in Thomas Street, Woolwich.
“Officers attended the location and found three males suffering stab injuries.
“All have been taken to hospital; officers await an assessment of their conditions.
“Additional officers have been deployed to the area and a total of 12 people have been arrested in connection with the incident. Enquiries continue.
“A Section 60 is in place until 0937hrs on 1 June covering the SE18 postcode area.
“Any witnesses or anyone with footage that may assist police should call 101 and quote ref 5815/31may.
