All traffic on the A2 near Gravesend has been stopped due to a ‘serious’ two vehicle crash.
The incident happened on the A2 London bound near Strood at around 4.15pm today (May 31).
National Highways (@HighwaysEAST) urged motorists on X (formally known as Twitter) to expect delays and find alternative routes if possible.
It confirmed that all emergency services including an air ambulance are currently at the scene.
Both carriageways have been closed which is causing miles of congestion and long delays in the area.
It is unknown how many people were involved in the incident.
We have contacted South East Coast Ambulance for further information.
A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Kent Police was called at around 4.15pm on Friday 31 May 2024 following a serious collision involving two vehicles on the A2 London-bound near Gravesend.
